Majed Ahmed Abdullah is a retired Saudi football player. He used to play in the attacking position with Al-Nasr Saudi Club and the Saudi national team. He is considered one of the most prominent players in the history of Saudi football. Majed Ahmed Abdullah Muhammad was born in 1958 AD (1378 AH) in the city of Jeddah, where his talent emerged and his sporting career began in 1977 AD (1397 AH) in the city of Riyadh, specifically from Al-Nasr Saudi Club, after his father Ahmed Abdullah went to Riyadh. To work in the technical staff of Al-Nasr Club, after which he began his football career, which lasted 22 years, for Al-Nasr Club and the Saudi national team. He won the Asian Nations Cup with his country for the first time in 1984 in Singapore and was the top scorer in the qualifiers and finals with a total of 11 goals, most notably his famous goal in the final of the tournament against the Chinese team. He also won the Asian Nations Cup for the second time in a row with his team in 1988 in Qatar and he was the scorer of the qualifying goal. To the final against the Iranian team, he led his team to qualify for the World Olympics for the first time in 1984 in America and was the top scorer in the preliminary and final qualifiers with a total of 13 goals, as well as qualifying for the World Cup for the first time and reaching the round of 16 under his leadership in 1994 in America against the Belgian team. Majid also achieved He won eleven local, Gulf and continental championships with his club. He was the first and most prominent scorer with his team and his country throughout his time on the field, and still holds the record for the number of goals locally and internationally.
