Through the significant role of the Saudi Olympians Association to support the Olympic Movement I assure our contributions to the promotion of the Olympic Values, support of the national sporting movement in all continental, international and Olympic participations, provision of assistance and care to all athletes, and reinforce the role of the Association through developing polices and initiatives that would contribute to the development of a sustainable sport that achieves the goals of the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee in accordance with the Saudi 2030 vision.
On the occasion of the recognition of the Saudi Olympians Association by the World, I am very glad to welcome the Saudi Olympians who represented - with all pride – their Saudi nation through their excellence in sport, as they honored their participations by representing the Saudi flag in various international platforms. Welcome to those champions.
There’s no more pride than representing the Saudi nation, and here we are welcoming you today, and honoring our memories with the champions who left our world; however, their stories did not leave our world, and their journey shall be kept in our memory for eternity.
Throughout unifying all Saudi Olympians, Saudi Olympians Association aims at their encouragement to utilize their status and transfer their expertise in order to reinforce the Olympic principles and inspire the futuristic generations. The Association as well aims at the contribution to the development of sport in the Kingdom and have a productive social role in cooperation with the concerned national and international stakeholders.
Dear Olympians, the representation of the Saudi Nation is the highest pride for any athlete which is to be remaining in memory. Therefore, you bear a significant responsibility toward your nation, society, and sport. I am quite hopeful that the role of Olympians in sport will be reinforced for all purposes of social awareness, charity, and education, in accordance with the Olympic Charter.
Finally, I pray to the almighty Allah to perpetuate our journey toward success and offer us all potential to spare no effort to serve the Olympians of our dear nation.
