Shaya Al-Nafisa is a former Saudi football player who played as a striker. He joined Al-Kawkab Club at a young age in 1977 and represented the first team a year later. He spent his entire career at Al-Kawkab Club and rejected many offers from major Saudi clubs such as Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr. Al-Nafisa retired at the age of 28 due to recurring injuries. Al-Nafisa represented the Saudi national team in the 1984 Asian Cup finals and scored the first goal in the final match.
He played with the Saudi national football team for 8 consecutive years, with Majed Abdullah in the attacking line. He scored the first goal against the Korean national team in the Los Angeles 84 qualifiers in the exciting match that ended in favor of Saudi Arabia with five goals to four. He is the scorer of the legendary first goal against the Chinese team, which was in the first ten minutes of the 1984 Asian Cup final, which the Saudi team won 2-0, and he has more than 20 international goals.
