The Saudi Arabian Football Federation is the sole sponsor of the sport of Football in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the direct responsible of national football teams and participating national clubs in the Saudi League in all its divisions.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation was officially founded in 1956. In the same year, it became a member of the International Football Federation (FIFA). Additionally, in 1972, it joined the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). This marked the beginning of its efforts to organize domestic tournaments and participate in international competitions, where it achieved numerous achievements on both the international and continental levels.
